Is Promoting Your Business Daily a Realistic Expectation as a Mom?
Far too often in the online space, moms running businesses are made to feel like they’re failing because they aren’t implementing the same strategies as those who don’t have kids. You may have been told that if you don’t promote your business daily, then your business is a hobby. The reality is that your priorities are different when you are a mom running a business. As much as you may want to show up in your business daily, you may not have the capacity to do so. Just because you aren’t posting on socials multiple times a day doesn’t mean your business isn’t legit.
What to Do When You Don’t Have the Capacity to Promote Your Business Daily
Incorporate Visibility Strategies OFF Social Media
With social media content having a shelf life of 24-48 hours, you need to be showing up on platforms that will give you the greatest ROI without exceeding your capacity. When you prioritize visibility strategies like podcast guesting or collaborations through speaking engagements and bundles, you set yourself up for a greater ROI. I will be diving into each of these visibility strategies during my FREE masterclass. Each of these visibility strategies puts you in front of a larger audience, and you have the host putting their stamp of approval on you. The host essentially tells their audience that they trust you and that you are the go to person for your niche.
Create Evergreen Funnels
When you leverage email marketing by creating evergreen funnels, you can nurture and convert your new leads on autopilot. As new leads enter your email community, you can have a nurture sequence set up to drive them to your most popular content and invite them to work with you. All of this is done without you having to show up online.
Sign Longer Term Clients
Instead of offering a one-month or 3-month contract to your clients, offer 6 and 12-month contracts. You can offer longer term contracts as a service provider and a coach. If you’re working with a new client, start with a shorter term contract first. You want to make sure a client is a good fit before you get locked into a long term contract. By signing clients for longer periods of time, you secure your income for a longer period. This will take some of the stress off of you if you aren’t able to promote your business daily. Now, you still want to make sure you are generating leads and inviting people to work with you because you don’t want the stress of scrambling for new clients when a contract ends.
If you don’t currently have the capacity to promote your business daily, you aren’t doing anything wrong. You have to build your business in a way that fits your current season of life. Figure out what that is for you and go for it.
