How to Stand Out in Your Industry
If you’ve been an online business owner for any amount of time, you’ve heard about the importance of standing out in your niche. You also may have heard the term unique selling point or USP. One thing that’s not always shared is how to stand out in your industry and what that actually looks like. Standing out in your industry means sharing your unique thoughts, beliefs, and opinions that differ from others in your niche. Highlighting how you’re different can look like sharing polarizing thoughts and beliefs in your industry. It can also look like sharing your unique framework or approach to working with your clients. At its core, it’s showing how you are different from the many others that do what you do.
Why Stand Out from Others in Your Industry Matters
You want to stand out from others in your industry for a few reasons. When you share your unique viewpoints related to your niche, you are able to highlight how you’re different and how you do things differently. This helps with your positioning and building authority in your niche. Standing out in your industry helps you attract your best fit clients, aka your dream clients. You will also deter those who aren’t a good fit to work with you. Those are potential clients who don’t align with your values and beliefs and who will be more of a headache than they’re worth.
Figuring out how to stand out in your industry doesn’t have to be hard. All it takes is for you to share who you are and what you stand for. What sets you apart is how you do things differently in your niche. This is why in Life in Seasons 1:1 Coaching, we incorporate messaging and content that highlights what makes you unique in your content. I also support you in navigating the mindset drama that happens when you start sharing your differing beliefs and opinions. It can be scary to share polarizing thoughts and beliefs. There is always the possibility of someone calling you out on it, which is why I support you with elevating your mindset and developing the strategies needed to navigate these types of situations.
