Are You Creating Relatable Content?
Relatable content is the type of content that your ideal client feels connected to. They see themselves in the content, and they know that you get it. However, when you create relatable content, you earn your audience’s trust because you demonstrate that you understand their journey. You show that you know what it’s like to struggle and are proof that you can overcome that struggle. Creating content that only shows the highlight reel of your journey, your audience won’t relate.
Why are People Craving Relatable Content
There are a lot of people who have been burned in the online space. They’ve invested money with small business owners who didn’t fulfill their offer promise. People are being more intentional with who they invest in. Potential clients want to know that if they work with you, they will actually like you and will enjoy working with you. Relatable content gives you the space to show potential clients whether or not you are a good fit to work together.
Getting Started with Creating Relatable Content
If you want to create relatable content, you have to share stories. Storytelling will allow you to create a personal connection with your audience. They will see themselves inside of your stories. Now, creating relatable content doesn’t mean you have to share every aspect of your life with your community. You do have to be mindful of what you share with your audience to ensure you aren’t causing people to question your authority. Only share what you are comfortable sharing.
