Podcast interviews are a great visibility strategy for moms in business. They allow you to get in front of someone else’s established audience and demonstrate your expertise. However, they do require you to be intentional in order to generate leads and income from your interviews. If you aren’t getting leads from podcast guesting, then your signature topics do not connect to your signature offers.

Why Your Signature Topics Need to Connect to Your Signature Offers

Podcast interviews serve as the top of your funnel, which means that you leverage them to generate leads. When your signature topics connect to your signature offers, you can guide the conversation in a way that moves people along your funnel. Because your signature topics connect to your offers, you can address the listeners’ immediate need and show how you help.

How to Craft Your Signature Topics for Podcast Interviews

First ask yourself, “what do I have to do to move people from this podcast audience into the top of my funnel and down the funnel until they reach my offer and convert into that offer.” Next, start with the end in mind, which means you need to start with your signature offers. Look at the sales pages of your offers and any content you have created for your offers. What are the main transformations they create, the main pain points they address, and who is best for that offer. Answering those questions will give you ideas for your signature topics.

Your signature topics should clearly communicate what it is that you do and who you serve. Broad signature topics do not provide the level of specificity needed to stand out and show people why they should work with you. The more specific are and the more you highlight your unique selling points in your signature topics, the better the conversions you will see from podcast interviews.
