Podcasting Tips for Moms: What Does it Mean to Create a Podcast that Fits Your Current Season of Life?
Launch a Podcast that Aligns with Your Current Capacity and Time Available
Look at what you currently have on your plate to determine what your available to realistically commit to. If your time is limited, then a weekly podcast may not be the best option for you. You have options. You can create a seasonal podcast, a bi-weekly or monthly podcast, or a private podcast. Whatever option you choose, make sure it’s one you can be consistent with. You can do a weekly, bi-weekly, seasonal, monthly, or private podcast and still yield great results. That’s the power of long-form content. Long form content is highly searchable. As long as the content is still relevant based on the current trends, the right people will find your podcast.
Focus on Quality Over Frequency
You may have been told that a weekly podcast is needed to see results, so you may be hesitant to consider other options. What matters most is the quality of the content you are creating, not the frequency. Are you planning podcast content that resonates with your ideal listener? Is the podcast content you create value-packed or are you holding back? Prioritize creating podcast content that speaks to the heart of your ideal listener over how frequently you’re hitting publish.
Start with the Basics
You may have been told to launch your podcast with a YouTube channel and to repurpose your podcast into a blog to see fast growth. Mama, if you do not have the capacity to do that, it’s okay. You don’t have to delay hitting publish on your podcast until you do either. Instead of trying to do all of the things, focus on one thing at a time. For you, that is hitting publish on your audio only podcast. Once your time and capacity increases, you can repurpose your podcast for YouTube and blogs, if you want to. You don’t have to have all the bells and whistles when you launch your podcast. You can add those things later.
